How to Delete cache. Feb 2, 2019

   Hi all,
   prior to last upgrade I was able to find clear cache option under storage however now it's no where to be found. result of this is loads of cache is getting accumulated. any direction on how to resolve this problem is much appreciated.

   Switch off the mobile first, thn hold and press the power button and volume up button at a time wait for a while its ask recovery mode just press lock button once , thr u can see data and chace click on that and thr just click wipe chace after wiping ,reboot the system

   The option to clear all application caches has been removed in Android Pie because doing so is often counterproductive and can cause adverse effects on performance for quite some time after as the apps rebuild their caches. Generally having cached data improves performance as it is faster to retrieve information from the cache than storage or the internet so it's usually best to leave it be. If you're low on storage there are usually better places to clear clutter from but if you insist you can still clear app caches individually or if you have a computer with adb installed you can use the command "adb shell pm trim-caches" where the argument is the amount of space you want freed, for example 500M would clear 500 megabytes and 1G would clear a gigabyte. There are also apps that will automatically do this for you but pay attention when using them as they will often try to delete other files as well.

   That will clear the cache partition and the ART cache but won't have any effect on the application caches that could previously be cleared from the storage menu in Oreo.

   A cache is just a term for an area of storage that frequently used data is placed for faster access. There are multiple types of caches that store different kinds of data in Android and the option in recovery only clears part of that. If you read the link I posted it will go into a more in depth explanation of the different types of caches and what they do.
