Wiping the cache partition of the Galaxy S7 seems to address a multitude of bugs and errors with Samsung's flagship cellphone. Despite only clearing space in memory, many users have found that clearing this cache addresses everything from unresponsive power buttons, intermittent Wi-Fi to phone freezes. If you want to learn how to wipe the cache partition on the Samsung Galaxy S7, read on.

The process is quite simple and only wipes cached data. It does not wipe any personal information, images, contacts or any of your personal data from the phone.

Wipe the cache partition on the Galaxy S7
1. Power off the phone.
2. Press and hold the power, volume and home buttons all at once until the Samsung S7 logo appears.
3. Release the power button but continue holding volume and home until the Android logo appears.
4. After 30 seconds or so you should see the recovery menu.
5. Select wipe cache partition by using the volume button to move up and down the menu and select using the power button. Let the operation complete.
6. Select reboot system now.
7. Wait until the phone restarts and then check everything is working.

As mentioned, wiping the cache partition doesn't remove any personal data or interrupt or change the phone's operation in any way. What it does do is clean out the handset memory which often takes annoying bugs or freezes with it. This operation usually forms part of any bug fixing we do on the Samsung S7 and other Android phones.
